Upset Wood and Metal was our first furniture shop started in 2002 in Minneapolis, MN. After moving to the east coast into the historic hamlet of Belcher we changed our name to a more fitting Belcher Hollow Forge. We continue to design and build handmade studio furniture when we get the opportunity. We have shown in galleries in Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs and North Creek, NY. The pieces pictured here are some of our work from the last 12 years. The wood we chose is locally sourced from mills from Albany to Lake George. We often hand pick figured and mottled boards to accentuate it's natural bond to hand forged steel. The wood varieties shown in these pieces include black cherry, black walnut, red oak and hard maple. In the past we have also included exotics such as mahogany, bubinga, lacewood and zebrawood.
